My Mom passed away this morning. I'll have details later but thought everyone should know....

While I am grateful your mom has gotten the peace and rest she has wanted, I am so sorry for your loss. There are not words to express my sympathy. You and your family are so loved by so many.

I woke up this morning and as usual checked your blog as one of my first things to do. Oh how my heart sings and weeps for sweet Kathy. As a neighbor to her for the last several years she has always been so kind and wonderful. Your family is a true testament to what eternal means. Your blog has been a touchstone for me through a very difficult time for all of you. Your words and emotions just poured out through my screen and I appreciate the way you were able to keep the rest of us in the know about your wonderful mother. May the Lord bless and keep you through this difficult time. She was loved by many and your family is also loved by many. We will be here for all of you for the minutes, hours and days to come.

There aren't any words but I want you to know that we love you. We love you more because of the words of this blog and your willingness to share your family's love with us. I am so grateful to have shared in Kathy's life, just a little bit. I asked her a couple of weeks ago how she did it and what I should do to raise such amazing children and to have a son that loves me as much as I can feel Josh loves her. She said she was just always your friend (and she kept plenty of food in the fridge). It's made me reflect on what kind of mom I am and what things are really worth getting upset about (certainly not emptying the fridge with all the neighbors), I've learned a lot about you and Kathy and me over the past 2 months and I thank you so much for sharing so honestly. You are all really amazing and I will never forget what Kathy has shown us all through this- that family is all that really matters and being a mom can truly change the world for the better. She did.

Josh,
I am glad you mom is no longer suffering, but sad for you and your family. The only thing that will help is your faith and time. God bless
